Cobwebs are great Halloween decorations.
Real cobwebs? Less charming.
Before pumpkins, skeletons, candy bowls, and mysterious plastic body parts take over your home, give the main entertaining areas a quick cleanup. Decorating a clean room is much easier than trying to dust around twelve miniature pumpkins later.
Start from the top. Dust shelves, windowsills, picture frames, lamps, and furniture before cleaning the floors. Anything you knock loose is heading downward anyway, so gravity might as well work for you.
A Jumbo microfiber cloth works well for everyday dusting, while the Flexible Dust Mop can help reach underneath furniture where October dust bunnies are already dressed for the occasion.
Next, tackle the front entrance. Sweep the porch or entryway, wipe the door, shake out the mat, and clear the path where trick-or-treaters or party guests will walk.
Then prepare your candy and food zones. Wipe tables, counters, serving trays, and other washable surfaces before putting food out. Keep reusable Wowables® nearby during the party for drink spills, sticky fingers, and the inevitable piece of chocolate that somehow melts in a location chocolate should never reach.
For floors, remove dry debris first. The Lola Rola Sticky Mop® can grab crumbs, hair, and dirt during quick cleanup, while Lola’s wet-mop options can handle the deeper floor reset afterward.
And here’s the part that saves your sanity: prepare for the after-party before the party starts. Put your cleaning cloths, sponge, scrubber, broom, and floor tools somewhere easy to reach.
When the last guest leaves, you won’t need to search under the sink while staring at crushed candy on the floor.
Halloween should be scary.
The cleanup shouldn’t be.
