What is a sticky mop?

A sticky mop is an adhesive roller mop — a large roller wrapped in sheets of sticky, perforated paper, similar to a giant lint roller, designed to pick up dirt, dust, hair, and debris from floors and other surfaces without a vacuum or cord. Why use a sticky mop instead of a vacuum?

A sticky mop physically traps dirt, dust, and hair on an adhesive sheet instead of pulling it through a motor and filter, so nothing gets recirculated back into the air the way it can with a vacuum.
